Perfect fit,
I was looking around for a headboard with the bookcase and this is the cheapest one I found that didn’t look cheap. It is well made and sturdy. We didn’t buy the other part of the set to make it a captain bed (the part under the bed with the drawers) and it still works fine. It’s not attached to the bedframe or anything but it’s pushed against the wall and the bed so it’s not exactly in danger of moving. It’s been perfect for my daughter to place all her books/toys/cds in and we all like it.

We bought this bookcase/headboard as an addition on to the South Shore Furniture – Sand Castle Collection Bed and are very satisfied how it all looks together. Seems to be sturdy and spacious cubbies for all my 3 year ancient daughter’s figurines and dolls. We are very satisfied at how it just adds the superfluous space onto the bed. Only drawback that we prominent was the frame of the bed does not attach to the headboard or slide in to keep it together. But since the headboard is heavy and stable, it appears that it will stay in house without having to pin the bed to the headboard against the wall. Would definately puchase again.

|Got one ill-treat part,
I would have given it a 5 star because, just like the bed I bought along with it, it was simple to assemble, is very sturdy and looks fantastic!
But, one of the pieces was incorrect & when assembled left an obvious 1.5′ gap in the front of the headboard. Amazon said I could return the whole headboard back & they would send me another one or keep it and get a discount off the price. I chose the latter – it was too much distress to ship that huge thing. Plus, whats the guarantee that the second set will be allright? They wouldn’t send me just the ill-treat part.
So thats that. If you get all the right parts, its fantastic!
