Not tall enough for thick mattresses.,
It seems that the current trend for mattresses are the very thick mattresses. This headboard simply isn’t tall enough for that. The cubbies would be below mattress level, which isn’t a great idea with young kids. One misplaced slide of the pillow and all your stuff is knocked over. I solved this by building 6 inch risers for the headboards, but that knocks 1 and 1/2 stars off the review.
The other 1/2 star was removed because one of the headboard backs came damaged. The box was undamaged, so this piece made it through their quality control. It was large and obvious flaw that should have been caught.
Other than that, they look decent. The curved top piece is attractive. They were easy to assemble with an electric screwdriver. But if you have taller mattresses, make sure you have some basic carpentry skills to raise them up.

|nice finish to the bed,
the headboard really completes the look of the bed.I haven’t attached it, just have it standing behind the bed against the wall and there are no problems.Easy to put together!
