A good headboard on its shoulders.,
I got this for use with the South Shore Furniture Cosmos Collection Twin Mates Bed, Black Onyx and Charcoal and it works pretty well. If you can, I would recommend just leaning it against a wall instead of relying on the screws (I didn’t even screw mine in). But it’s a wonderful place for me to put my wallet, cell phone, and other items after a long day. I also like how there are holes for cords, so my cell phone can charge right there.

|Great for a twin bed,
I love my bookcase headboard. I needed a place for a reading lamp, books, glasses, etc. and this was perfect. I am a collage student and my room is smallish, and I do most of my studies/work on my bed. This is great for that purpose. The shelves are deep, and it is sturdy enough that I don’t feel like I am going to break it if I flop on my bed. The top shelf is about half as deep as the bottom shelf, but still plenty big enough to hold a small lamp and DVD cases. I shopped around for a while looking at bookshelf headboards, and this is definitely the best deal for the price. Just make sure you are fine with and able to put it together. That was the only thing I didn’t like because it took a while and with my small floor space I was fighting with it for about an hour before I could get it on my bed. I have just a mattress and box spring, and it fits fine. It is a little higher than my mattress sits, but with a couple of pillows and shams it looks great. I highly recommend this for the avid reader or anyone who does work/study/hobby on their bed. I also keep my iPod dock/alarm clock on this. There are 2 cut outs on the bottom shelf for cords to go through.

This was purchased after I received the bed I had ordered from the same company. The headboard is attractive, two tone, black with silver accent. This item was fairly easy to put together. Great value for the money with free shipping.
